Maybank Investment Bank: Dear Valued Clients,
We have uncovered a new phishing scam which poses as an email from Maybank requesting its recipient to key in their email address and password to view a payment advice attached.
Some Maybank IB clients have reported receiving this email and we would like to alert you that Maybank did not send this email as referenced below.
If you have received an e-mail similar to the one below, please DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY.
This is a phishing scam which attempts to trick individuals into revealing personal and financial information and/or download virus infected programs.
Maybank / Maybank IB will never ask its clients for personal or account information via emails. While we have already taken swift action regarding this phishing activity, we would like to advise you to always exercise caution when providing personal or financial information and to be vigilant for signs of fraud.

Also notify your customer immediately the payment is received.
