Marigold Milk recalled from supermarket shelves with immediate effect

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Milk Sdn Bhd is recalling all of its Marigold HL milk (200ml & 1litre) from the local market with immediate effect.

The company said this was in response to customer feedback on the viscosity of its Marigold HL chocolate milk that appeared higher than usual.

“While customer feedback is specifically on the Marigold HL chocolate milk, nevertheless Malaysia Milk is taking proactive measures to recall other products including Marigold HL plain milk (200ml & 1L), Marigold HL strawberry milk (200ml & 1l), and Marigold HL with plant sterols (1L),” it said in a statement.

Malaysia Milk said only Marigold HL milk products expiring before Nov 7 for Peninsular Malaysia and before Nov 11 (Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan) are being recalled.

It added that its Quality Control Unit and Manufacturing team had ascertained the source of the issue and subsequently rectified it.

“Malaysia Milk wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this product recall. Our customers’ health and safety is our top priority and we are doing everything we can to provide as much information and support as possible.

“We are committed to ensure products reach retail outlets as fresh as the day they leave Malaysia Milk plant. This is in keeping with our commitment to quality.”

Customers who had purchased the affected products are advised to return them to Malaysia Milk for a replacement or contact the customer service team for more details at 1800-88-5587.
