Kenyataan Mengenai Insiden “Ice Blended”

Berdasarkan penyiasatan kami ke atas insiden “ice blended”, kami ingin menjelaskan bahawa benda asing yang ditemui di dalam minuman tersebut adalah serpihan bahan plastik keras daripada penutup pengisar McCafe, dan bukannya serpihan gelas seperti yang dilaporkan oleh pihak lain sebelum ini.
Insiden ini amat dikesali dan kami sedia maklum yang terdapat kesilapan dalam pelaksanaan prosedur operasi standard di restoran tersebut. Selain itu, kami juga telah mengambil langkah-langkah yang sewajarnya bagi memastikan kejadian sebegini tidak berulang lagi.
Berkenaan insiden ini, kakitangan kami telah membawa pelanggan tersebut ke hospital dengan segera bagi mendapatkan rawatan perubatan. Kami difahamkan yang pelanggan tersebut kini beransur pulih dan kami turut berkomunikasi dengan beliau menerusi ahli keluarganya bagi memantau perkembangan beliau.
Kami ingin menegaskan yang keselamatan dan kesejahteraan para pelanggan adalah keutamaan kami dan kami tidak akan berkompromi atas nilai-nilai kami, dan akan terus mengukuhkan kesemua prosedur operasi standard di restoran-restoran kami.
Statement by McDonald’s Malaysia
Based on our ongoing investigations into the “ice blended” incident, we would like to clarify that the foreign object found in the drink is a broken hard plastic material from a McCafe blender lid, and not glass shards as was reported by other parties earlier.
We regret this incident and acknowledge there was a lapse in the execution of our standard operating procedure at this particular restaurant. Additionally, we have taken the necessary corrective action to ensure such incidents do not happen again.
In this particular incident, our staff had brought the customer to the hospital immediately to receive medical attention. We have been made to understand that the customer is currently recovering and we are in communication with the customer through her family to monitor her progress.
We wish to reiterate that the safety and well-being of our customers are our top priority. We also wish to assure our customers that we do not compromise on our values and will continue to reinforce all standard operating procedures in our restaurants.
