Genting Awana SkyWay Commences Operations Standard: RM8/Person, Glass-Floor: RM50/Person

Genting Awana SkyWay, which was supposed to begin operation in August 2016, is finally commencing its service since end of December 2016 after a four-month delay in getting regulatory approval.

It was however met with online hoax propagating on social media claiming that there was accident at Genting Awana Skyway. Resort World Genting was fast to debunk the rumour with official statement:

HOAX ALERT: There is no truth in the post that is circulating about our Skyway accident caused by the faulty cable. We would like to assure everyone that our cable car is operating in great condition.

What is the price of a Genting Awana SkyWay ticket?

For the standard gondola, tickets are RM8 per person or 5GP for Genting Rewards Card members. An express boarding pass can be purchased for RM40. For the glass-floor gondola, tickets are RM50 per person or 40GP for Genting Rewards Card members.

What are the operating hours for Awana SkyWay?

The Awana SkyWay will operate 7 days a week from 7:00am until midnight (7.00am – 1.00am on 24.12.2016 and 31.12.2016)

Can I bring my luggage on the gondola?

Passengers can take along one aircraft cabin size bag per passenger on the gondola. Oversized baggage can be stored at the Baggage Storage Service located at Level G of the Awana SkyWay building for RM5 per baggage for 24 hours. Otherwise, a surcharge of RM20 will be imposed for bringing oversized baggage into the cable car per passenger.

Where is the new Awana SkyWay car park located?

The car park is located at the Genting Highlands Premium Outlets shopping mall, which is beside the new Awana Bus Terminal.

How much are the parking fees?

Parking is currently free but fees will be gradually introduced.
